Job Coordinator

EDGE is looking for exceptional people to join our team.

The Purpose of Your Role

Your role is to support people with diverse abilities to succeed in meaningful long-term employment, ensuring they achieve their own personal employment goals and receive the support they need to do their best work.

What your day will look like…

You will spend your days co-ordinating and providing support to people with a range of disabilities in a variety of employment settings around Perth enabling them to achieve independence and fulfilment in their workplace.

What you’ll need to be good at…

To be successful in this position, you will be an excellent communicator, good at negotiation, administration, delivering training, and have the ability to effectively co-ordinate and empower your clients to achieve their employment goals.

It is important you believe strongly in our vision for the future are a passionate advocate for the power of diversity.

You will spend your days building and nurturing relationships with a wide range of employers, increasing their awareness of the benefits of a diverse workforce and cleverly matching job roles to our untapped source of incredible talent.

Your unwavering commitment to understanding the needs of both the employer and the employee is what will ensure your success – the experience of the ‘right match’ offering a great sense of fulfillment as you contribute to the transformation of both individual lives and businesses.   

What you’ll need to be good at…

Your performance targets will be achieved through utilising your excellent communication skills – storytelling, negotiating, business development, marketing and planning all being part of your toolkit.

A strong sense of discernment, ability to balance competing demands and desire to connect deeply with both employers and job seekers will be critical to your success. It is important you believe strongly in our vision for the future and are a passionate advocate for the power of diversity.

  • SWoT Program Co-ordinator
    Co-ordinates the SWoT program, assists school students with disabilities to undertake work experience in industry areas that offer future employment opportunities, liaise with school support staff to enhance work experience placements for students and negotiate employment outcomes with host employers.   • National Disability Co-ordination Officer
    Co-ordinates the NDCO program in the allocated region in accordance with the Department of Education (DOE – Federal) Program Guidelines, Funding Contract and Schedule. Download PDF
  • Customer Relations Advisor
    Assists the Team Leader, Customer Relations to promote EDGE Employment Solutions as a quality disability open employment service and attracts a steady flow of new job seekers to the agency. Download PDF

EDGE has a long-standing commitment to empowering the next generation of occupational therapists with the practical skills and experience needed to succeed.

 

McCusker Centre for Citizenship

The McCusker Centre for Citizenship at UWA (established in October 2015) is the first of its kind in Australia, modelled on the Haas Centre for Public Service at Stanford University. The Centre aims to foster the engagement of students in a lifelong involvement and contribution to the community.

The Centre works on:

  • Creating opportunities for students to contribute to the work of not for profit organisations in WA
  • Expand the involvement of not for profit organisations in the University through service learning and research
  • Provide leadership and mentoring programs in partnership with the not for profit sector
  • Facilitate collaboration, discussion and practical solutions to contemporary challenges by engaging students, academics, alumni, not for profit (NFP) organisations and business
