Bright, bubbly and employed

One of our latest Project Employment graduates, Jade, is bringing her newfound skills to her Traineeship at Good Sammy Malaga. Reflecting on Edge’s assistance during the work preparation program, she shared, “They made me feel supported and more confident. I learnt about payslips and how to dress. I now understand things better so I can work better.”

For the last year, Jade has found her Traineeship at Good Sammy to be an enjoyable experience. “I love how friendly everyone who works there is and how special they make me feel. I find lots of toys and West Coast Eagles things that I like and I can buy them with the money I make.”

Being able to complete her Traineeship to obtain a Certificate II in Retail has been great for Jade’s development, “I am more confident and I like having my own money.”

Mel, the Manager at Good Sammy Malaga appreciates Jade’s contribution and positivity. “Jade is brilliant, she is always happy, bubbly and works really well with everyone! She is always happy to do anything and will always answer with a yes followed by a happy giggle when asked to do something. She always works really hard and is willing to give everything a go, as well as she always offers everyone help.”

Throughout Edge’s work preparation program, Project Employment Consultant Holly saw firsthand Jade’s progression throughout the seven week program. “Jade always had a huge smile on her face and was always willing to try new things. She has such a bright and bubbly personality, it’s a joy just to be in the room with her. She is absolutely lovely and very insightful; she continuously works really hard. Jade was an ideal student, her desire to learn and grow meant a lot.”
