At Edge we understand the importance of receiving an opportunity and gaining experience in the workforce at a young age. By working in new environments with ever-changing situations young people are able to develop not only their skills but their confidence as well.

The Edge Cockburn team have partnered with Port School in Hamilton Hill to provide employment assistance to eligible school leavers in Year 11 and 12. Port is an independent school that offers a different learning environment compared to a mainstream schooling experience.

Edge Customer Relations Advisor Michelle and Employer Consultant Taua are both working with multiple students to support them in finding their desired roles. The team is assisting these students to find a job suited to their interests. This can range from part-time employment to a school-based traineeship in an industry that suits their skills or an apprenticeship.

Our team place great importance on getting to know each student, understanding their preferences and finding the best suited opportunity for them.

Every one of the students has inspired the Edge Cockburn team. They are eager and committed to making their transition from school to employment as successful as possible. We wish each of these students all the best as they enter the workforce and embark on their career.
